Michael is currently the Principal of CF Global, a boutique consultancy and import agency, specialising in business and capacity building through cost-effective and operational efficiencies and international procurement. Michael has 30 years' experience in the Hospitality, Accommodation and Tourism sectors throughout Australia and is a current non-executive director of Ecotourism Australia.


Michael's career has over the years seen him manage a number of hotels for the Austotel Group and the Swan Brewery, was the lessee of the historic Castle Hotel in York for more than a decade, then joining the international hotel chain Best Western in 2002 as their Regional Manager for WA/SA/NT. 


Michael joined the Hospitality Group of companies as their Group General Manager and Director of its subsidiary the Eco Company Pty Ltd in 2006. The Eco Company was engaged to open and operate the multi-award-winning Karijini Eco Retreat on behalf of the Gumala Aboriginal Corporation in the magnificent Karijini National Park, previously the Hamersley Ranges-1400 km North of Perth in Western Australia and is the heart of states Pilbara region. Michael also acted as the Pre-opening General Manager for the Hospitality Groups boutique 5-star Terrace Hotel. 


Michael has also consulted with a number of organisations and businesses, including Hotels, Pubs, Restaurants, Holiday Parks,  Local Government, Aboriginal groups and Corporations relating to sustainable tourism, tourism & destination marketing, product distribution, operational management, audit, procurement and sourcing, infrastructure requirements, and new projects as well as perform a relief management service 


Michael has also been a representative on numerous national, state, and regional tourism bodies is a current board member of Ecotourism Australia, was the former deputy chair of the Coeliac Society of WA and a board member of Coeliac Australia. Recently, Michael worked in a senior role with Caravan Industry Association Western Australia.
